Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) material represents a major milestone in composite material engineering. At Linyi Rongsen, our research and development programs focus on expanding the limits of durability and moisture management. Understanding how WPC resists water requires examining its core structure, chemical compatibility, and manufacturing processes.
Standard wood fibers naturally absorb water because they contain cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, which hold hydroxyl (-OH) groups that attract water molecules. To prevent water damage, our advanced processes coat these hydrophilic wood grains with molten thermoplastic polymers. High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) are mixed with wood flour at high heat under intense shear stress.
To bond the organic wood fibers with the synthetic polymer matrix, we add maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (MAPE) as a coupling agent. This chemical bridge links the wood fiber surface with the polymer structure. As a result, the wood particles are sealed within a waterproof plastic coating, blocking moisture and preventing wood-decaying fungi from taking hold.
Our premium decking lines feature Capped Co-Extrusion Shield Technology. In this co-extrusion process, a weather-resistant protective outer shell is extruded simultaneously with the composite core under high temperatures. This outer layer wraps around the core (covering either all four sides or three sides for ventilation) to provide defense against water, UV rays, scratches, and stains.
Compare the physical properties, durability, maintenance needs, and life-cycle costs of different materials to make informed engineering and design choices.

Linyi Rongsen Decoration Material Co., Ltd. is based in Linyi, Shandong Province—known as the "Logistics Capital of China." This strategic location offers exceptional transit connectivity, close access to major international shipping ports, and reliable global distribution.

Our advanced manufacturing facility operates with continuous precision, utilizing automated twin-screw extruders that regulate temperature, pressure, and material ratios in real time. We ensure consistent material density and structural integrity by automatically monitoring the moisture levels of the wood fiber and raw polymer compounds. This careful process control keeps product tolerances within 0.1mm, ensuring smooth installation on-site.
Our location in Lanshan District, Linyi City, provides a solid supply chain foundation. As one of China's major logistics hubs, Linyi connects direct land transport routes to deepwater ports like Qingdao and Rizhao. This integrated shipping network minimizes domestic transit times and lowers port freight costs, allowing us to offer competitive factory pricing to wholesale buyers, developers, and distributors around the world.

At Linyi Rongsen, our business practices are built on two core principles: integrity and quality. These values guide our customer support, quality control, and product engineering.
We supply a comprehensive range of decorative and building materials, including PVC UV marble panels, PVC embossed panels, 3D printed backdrops, PS wall panels, WPC wall panels, PU stone wall panels, and decorative moldings. Lightweight polyurethane wall cladding molded directly from natural stone. Provides the detailed look and feel of real stone masonry with much easier and faster installation.
Large commercial developments and public infrastructure require building materials that meet strict technical specifications. Wood-Plastic Composites must maintain structural integrity under load, resist impacts, and limit expansion or contraction. Our materials are tested to comply with international standards like EN 15534 and ASTM D7031.
Testing flexural modulus is critical for safety. The distance between joists must be calculated to prevent decking from sag or deformation. By optimizing our raw material blends, we ensure a high modulus of elasticity, allowing joist spacing of up to 400mm for residential applications and 300mm for high-traffic commercial walkways. Thermal expansion must also be managed; we address this by maintaining a low coefficient of thermal expansion, ensuring installer guidelines include precise spacing recommendations for changes in outdoor temperature.
Moving large freight shipments from factories to project sites requires efficient logistics management. Our location in Linyi connects us to major railways and highways, allowing containers to reach nearby ports within hours. This infrastructure reduces transport costs and simplifies domestic logistics.
Our export division handles custom packaging, container loading, and ocean freight logistics to ensure cargo is protected during transit. We compile all required documentation—including Certificates of Origin, Bill of Lading, Packing Lists, and Commercial Invoices—to assist custom brokers with quick clearing at destination ports. Whether shipping in full container loads (FCL) or coordinated less-than-container loads (LCL), we prioritize cost-effective delivery timelines.
Our research and development focus is shifting toward biological resin formulations and recycled raw materials. Future product lines will feature bio-derived polyethylene matrices made from agricultural waste, which reduces carbon footprint while maintaining the durability and moisture protection of traditional petroleum plastics.
We are also working on next-generation UV stabilizers. These additives are integrated directly into the outer shield to extend color stability in areas with high solar exposure. Through continuous testing, we help ensure our products maintain their color and integrity under direct sunlight and high temperatures.
Review answers to common technical, installation, and supply chain questions from architects, procurement managers, and distributors.
Our WPC outdoor flooring is waterproof because the wood fibers are completely encapsulated by a protective thermoplastic matrix (such as HDPE or PVC). Unlike natural wood, which has porous cells that absorb water, warp, and rot, WPC does not absorb significant moisture (with a water absorption rate under 0.5%). This polymer shell prevents water from entering the core, making it resistant to moisture and fungal decay without requiring oiling or sealing.
Round hole profiles are designed to reduce board weight and material usage, making them a cost-effective choice for residential projects, balconies, and light commercial spaces. The hollow design also allows for integrated cabling and quick heat dissipation. Solid boards offer higher density and load-bearing capacity, making them best suited for heavy-traffic public areas, commercial boardwalks, and marina docks.
Capped co-extrusion applies a protective outer polymer layer to the composite core under high temperatures during extrusion. This outer shield contains UV stabilizers, antioxidant additives, and pigments. The non-porous cap protects the core from moisture, blocks UV rays to prevent fading, and provides scratch and stain resistance.
Linyi is recognized as the "Logistics Capital of China." This concentration of logistics infrastructure allows us to easily source raw materials and arrange domestic freight. The close proximity to major ports like Qingdao and Rizhao means containers can be transferred quickly to cargo ships, helping to lower inland shipping fees and reduce overall lead times for international orders.
Our products carry multiple international certifications, including CE marking for EU market compliance, ISO 9001 for quality management, and SGS test reports verifying low formaldehyde emissions (E0 rating) and Class B1 flame retardancy. These verified test results ensure compliance with building regulations for commercial development projects.
